Indeed, I just saw one of them in this thread.

Very interesting. I wonder of people have these problems with manufacturers because they have attempted to use some of the newest designed chips. Being on the "bleeding edge" of technology has its price, and it sounds like Erik and Richard have had to pay it. Atmel makes a lot of chips that simply work OK.
