From a brief look at the STC website, the STC devices can do IAP. They do ISP via an RS232 bootloader.
The Atmel AT89S51/2 do ISP via an SPI i/f. The eBay demo board does not make any claim to do HVPP. For a start, you would need a ZIF for any target chip and control the VPP voltage. OTOH, it looks as if it would support STC or NXP or Atmel RS232 style bootloader enabled chips. The STC chips look quite interesting --- 8051 with a lot of extras. The Atmel AT89S52 is really bog-standard 8051. David. |
