#182982 - Programmer for Atmel 8051 microcontrollers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Steven,
The kit in the link looks good but based on personal experience, I won't generally trust on cheap Chinese/Hong kong products. Also, if you are planning to use Atmel's 89 series microcontrollers then its better to use AT89S series instead of AT89C series. AT89S series micrcontrollers can be programmed in circuit & with few pins (4,5) instead of around 20 pins required for programming of AT89C microcontrollers. I personally use SmartPro S51 which is a USB programmer for AT89S series microcontrollers from Atmel. It might not be the cheapest but reliable & works with number of 8051 based mcus from Atmel.
