Please note that the 5-volt tolerance doesn't allow you to operate the LCD from a 3-volt power supply. It requires a 5-volt supply, unlike the SiLabs MCU, though the LCD will probably operate with the interface levels that the MCU tolerates.
It does, after all, tolerate up to 5.6 volts. Don't press your luck, though. You might help yourself a bit by examining the spec's for the LCD and operating it at or near the lower limit of its Vcc specification, while operating the MCU at its rated supply voltage. The LCD interface will most likely tolerate the 3-volt (nominal) levels, as it typically (I haven't checked the datasheet, so don't rely on this without checking it yourself.) tolerates TTL levels, which are somewhat lower.
