Hello,
I have got a JHD162A 16 x 2 LCD module, and it would be the first thing i would be interfacing. I have got a Silabs C8051F120 development kit.

I am unable to figure out the following due to my limited knowledge and the exponentially complicated learning curve :

1. Where do i connect the LCD in the kit , to the header connectors (P1, P2 etc) ?
2. Will i have to use resistors etc and make an appropriate circuit between the lcd and the kit ?
3. Open drain and weak pull up - how do they matter when programming the Ports ?
