As previously noted, in the UK, you need to beware of minimum order charge, shipping costs, shipping time, Customs duties, and fees. If (as is highly likely) the University already has accounts with RS, Farnell, et al, it is highly unlikely to be worth going "off-shore" for this type of order. Farnell/Newark of UK looks costly ? See above (in the UK it's just Farnell - Newark is US) I prefer Farnell for few quantities for prototype developments. Which is exactly what a University project requires! |
