Have a look at the datasheet for a 27C64 ... that's an EPROM.
Then, having done that, have a look at the datasheet for the device you're using ... that's an EEPROM. Once you've done that, have a look at the DALLAS Semiconductor, DS1225Y ... that's a NONVOLATILE RAM, which has a built-in-battery, which keeps the content "alive" after the power goes down, and incorporates circuitry to detect, one would hope properly, when the external power is valid and when it is not. From what you've written, it looks as though the NVRAM is what would serve your purpose. RE |
