Yes I do not mind spending alot of time, and im not using a pegboard, but im using a breadboard which probably not that much better and yes pretty much all my wires are short, some are probably to long, I have just gotten a new latch, one I used was 74f373, where the inputs and ouputs are on both sides, I looked it up and found out that a 74f573 is input one side and ouput one side so that will shorten up my wires quite a bit.
