#189150 - Regarding Typical memory connection for a ds80c320
So according to figure three on page 11 of the chips data sheet it shows that 7 lines from the P2.0-P2.7 are going to the EPROM for the MSB which leaves out 1, why? Also why and which of the P2.0-P2.7 are the three going to the SRAM?I have figured out the rest but cannot figure out this part. My next question is does this setup allow me to program the EPROM through the MCU(I am using a EEPROM not an EPROM)with using a serial port and a MAX232 going to the MCU? If this is possible is there any special settings I have to have, or maybe in the code for it to work right? I do know this is a old model and would be easier to get a new one, well no money and I did request a sample, but I still want to get this working just to learn so I can practice at home not just in the class room. Thank you
