Ok where to start, um I do want o use the C320 for learning purposes and messing around, I dont care if its old and alomst all ports taken after memory is attached. My only advantage is to learn something.

I have also requested a sample of the DS89C450 from maxim, hopefully I will get it, either way I still want to get this to work and understand it. Now as someone said it is shown the typical memory connection in the data sheet for the C320, now at this current time I do have most of this wired up as it shows, also using some of maxims application notes on their site helped me do this.

To jim, I will look into doing the two eeprom thing as I can get my hands on a multiplexer and more eeproms. And it would be exactly what I asked, sounds rather simplier thatn the memory connections that I have going now.

To andy and jim, I have access to my work facility when ever I want and can sit here and program my chip all I want all day, its a small company and not used very often anymore.

To richard, all of what you said was confusing so I would have no clue where to start about monitoring and such. As said above I did request a sample and I do have FSI Proview and the means to link to the DS89C450, but until then Im just trying to figure out the old one.

All in all i dont care how old or useless it is, I find it challenging and awarding doing things i dont quite understand and accomplishing them. In a way it helps me in class.
