#186091 - AT89LP52 options
Responding to: ???'s previous message

It doesn't work. That's expected as the AT89LP4052 is single cycle.

Not only that, the SW uses the SPI port in the LP4052, so you would need
to re-map that. Probably easier solutions....

Atmels 'other' serial port ISP software. This has the ver 3.3 upgrade which includes the AT89LP52. The 3.3 upgrade fails on both computers of mine, same error message, Fail something. It does list the 89S52 without that upgrade.

This install/update worked for me, but I did need to download both pgms from http://www.atmel.com/tools/AT89ISP.aspx
and AT89ISP only installs at D:Program FilesAtmelISP on my PC, so I had to point the Patch/update to that.
Once the planets aligned I ran the update on two LP parts, (LP52 and LP2052) and they added ok to my
D:Program FilesAtmelISP

Of course, you do need a PC with a parallel port, & reboot after updates, but that should be no problem.... ;)

OR, another solution would be to try and get some AT89LP51RD2/ED2/ID2 samples, as I believe they have a Serial Port (PSEN=L@RST enabled) boot loader, in ROM, which side-steps the SPI program issue...
