Adding 39pF to SDA gives reliable operation. I'm not exactly a happy bunny, but it will do for the moment.
Good that you are "not exactly a happy bunny" you may have gotten it to "work" Analog Devices can up with the underwhelming statement that its tested/works with Atmel EEPROMs. I've ordered some to try out. 1) It obvious that the AD IIC IF is a piece of crap 2) There are subtle differences between the serial memories and Microchip seems to be leaning at one of the fences. I have had cases where everything else but Microchip worked, but careful reading of the Microchip datasheet(s) made everything work. Now, of course, being stuck with the shitty AD interface you do not have that option. 3) "tested/works with Atmel EEPROMs" probably should have been "tested/"works" with Atmel EEPROMs" the old adage is "testing does not prove the abscense of bugs, it ONLY proves the abscence of known bugs" 4) "tested/works with Atmel EEPROMs" some Arghmel EEPROMS DO require repeated starts, so the statement is pure bull a conclusion if you need the features of an AD '51 and IIC buy SILabs Erik |
