I would not fix this by adding capacitance to the bus. It should be fixed by guaranteeing a hold time of better than say 30-40 nanoseconds. Seeing a hold time of "0 nsec give or take 20 nsec" is _not_ good enough.

As a matter of fact if you needed to be able to declare SMBus compatibility you need to support a hold time of 300 nsec!!
