The chip design folks clearly have not had real world experience interfacing to a variety of I2C devices. Yes, one does have to wonder... :-( Do they actually call this thing "I2C"? I thought the reason why Philips/NXP keep hold of the rights to the name was to stop people calling their stuff "I2C" if it wasn't really a fully-compatible implementation...? |
