And if you were even thinking of putting out ~100$ UD then you should think again about the viability of doing that. Why? Because for about that same amount of $$$ you can purchase a SiLabs Eval board with power supply and with JTAG debugging and programming pod. Learning with something like that will be way more directly applicable to what you could do with the skills in today's world.
