If it meets timing requirements for some 8085's, it probably meets timing requirements for some 805x's. I personally didn't use 'em because they were so costly, and so slow ... some of the same reasons, generally speaking, back in the day, for which I didn't use 805x and 8085.
However, if somebody really wants to use 'em, it can be done. Under the "right" conditions, there's no reason why these old parts with external EPROM as well as I/O can't be pressed into service if the timing is tolerable. I sometimes use fuses I bought back in the '70's. There's no reason not to. RE |
