#177085 - name one
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Under the "right" conditions, there's no reason why these old parts with external EPROM as well as I/O can't be pressed into service if the timing is tolerable.
name one "right condition".
you can probably buy 100 modern chips for the cost of the time 'developing' the interface to the antique. If an Amateur, then what is the purpose of 'learning' something that has no value the needed modern chip can be bought for <$1

I sometimes use fuses I bought back in the '70's. There's no reason not to.
The progress in fuse technolgy has been virtually none, so the analogy does not hold.
