While there are reports of people having soldered to cards, I hardly think that the packaging is designed for this. I think there must be a high risk of damage!

And it's certainly not something that you'd contemplate for any sort of commercial application!

Maybe; maybe not - depending on how "random" you need your addressing to be.

It's sufficiently "randomly" addressable if you have a "file-like" requirement (whether you use an actual filesystem or not) - but, of course, nothing like a real memory chip...
