As I noted, I would not be interested in a quantity of 1. More probably 1k or 10k units.
And I did mention that many microcontrollers don't need any external code or data memory, in which case every I/O signal used for a flash disk is one less pin for GPIO or any of the other special functions the processor may support. If you have a 68-pin controller with 56 GPIO, 14 memory pins would represent 25%. If you have a 44-pin controller with 32 GPIO, 14 memory pins would represent 44%. |
