http://search.digikey.com/scripts/D...-1413-1-ND is a 2GByte NAND Flash available now in 1-off quantity, off the shelf. Or, you can buy directly from Micron https://buymicron...Quantity=1.

The pricetag is certainly higher than the BTT (bored-teens-toys) stuff, though; but it's a branded product, a solderable package and a standard memory which (or equivalent of which) will most probably be still around after 2+ years.
