Well, Erik, it's probably not what you meant, but that gives me an idea for Craig....
Craig, if a particular size RAM is difficult to find (because it's smaller size is no longer in demand), you could buy a size that can be easily found, and use only part of it. It is my understanding that you want to continue to provide memory within the 64K addressing range of the 8051 (for instructional reasons) so Erik's idea of a 128K by 8 is not what you had in mind. |
