#175743 - obviously a comparator is a better solution Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The NXP appnote is specific to LCP line of micros which have on-chip comparator, how can that solution be far better or applicable to AT89S52 which doesn't have an on-chip comparator
obviously a comparator is a better solution than a logic input and if you want a better solution, then use the better suited micro (which, by the way, sell for <$0.50 in qty) in the NXP appnote the Live wire is connected directly to micro's VCC and how can "that" not be dangerous whether uC Vcc or uC gnd is connected to the live wire makes no difference, you will get injured/killed when you touch regardless. next thing you asked me was to change the micro itself to LCP, if that was an option, then i would have gone with an AVR like Atmega8 or something. fine if they have a comparator Erik PS do not confuse the LCP9xx ('51 type) with the LCP2xxx (ARM type) |
