Don't ever draw conclusions just because two processor familiers may have started at a similar point in time. The Z8 may be 30 years old, but it was an independent design, and a lot has happened during these 30 years.
In the end, it's irrelevant what the inside of the chip looks like - you can always normalize the circuit on the outside. |
