#175550 - not a newbie to electronics Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello Kiran,
The abbreviation "Trafo" refers to "TransFormer" and i haven't invented it, its been used on all electronics forums worldwide and its a accepted abbreviation and complies to "Netiquette" if you don't want to accept it then you may not use the terms like SMPS, DC, AC in the replies and you'll have to refer to these terms as "Switching Mode Power Supply", "Direct Current" etc. Also i haven't used any SMS lingo in my replies and understand the rules of posting in technical forums. Kiran said: Oh, so you want to Electricute someone, and then learn from it...Good. I've been in the electronics field since 15 years and have reasonable understanding about safety issues, when was the last time you /your client/technician got electrocuted ? How many headlines appear daily in news paper mentioning deaths due to electrocution and compare it with death toll in road mishaps. so far in this forum no member has claimed that he has tried the direct Mains ZCD experiment with 8051/2, So how will one know its result unless he tries it. And do you mean to say that anybody who tries this out "will" definitely Die ? Cost of an Opto is definitely an issue if one is producing volumes in thousands. Regards, Arun |
