Emmiting iode needs current. Let say 1 ma.
54 kiloohm X 1ma =54V ( +1.5...1.8V in diode) This voltage depends from optocoupler, temperature and is different from part to part. And when Mains voltage changes betveen 180 and 230V You still have optocoupler bounded to 54V. So this circuit does not tell nothing about phase/angle. This is not very important for lamp dimmer. For UPS is important i think. Transformer is better choice... |
