I see that you are agreeing with me, even if your language doesn't.

Per, what the hell are you doing here? Can't you accept that here are people having different opinions?? Do you want now thought control? Bloddy hell, you act like the webmaster, but you are as little as we all here.
The voting system is anonymous for many good reasons! Change your attitude! Kai Klaas See! I made a non-anonymous comment, which allowed you to respond to me. This gives you the possibility of defending your view and you can even - if you feel so included - call me a stupid fool. Everyone have a right to have opinions. But the question is what it looks like when people gets negative stamps on their posts, without being able to defend themselves, and regularly without having written anything that should merit a negative vote. Having an opinion doesn't warrant posting it and, moreover, arguing for or against it on 8052.COM. Expressing an opinion by means of a vote doesn't mean one wishes to have to defend his opinion. It's merely an opportunity to express one's agreement or disagreement, with a comment that's categorized in a very limited way. You regularly worry about all "gimme code" that doesn't get the help they deserve. Why don't you worry about all the innocent visitors who get negative votes without having done anything to deserve them? Or did it happen to be you who added one of the negative votes, since you got so agitated.

Can't you accept that here are people having different opinions?? And you read my post? Wasn't the right to have different opinions one of the things I tried to defend? Kai said:
The voting system is anonymous for many good reasons! Then it should be easy for you to suggest three. But please don't include the "because it was easiest to implement"... I'm not sure 8052.COM was intended as a place for people to argue for or against their favorite IC's, tools, or methodologies. It was intended, I believe for 805x users to "kick around" different ways of doing things, yes, arguing at times about the merits, but doing so in the hope of forcing useful information to the surface so it could be viewed critically. I believe it's silly to advocate against a solution to a problem that someone proposes just because one doesn't like that IC. I believe it's silly to denegrate a particular way of doing things just because it's old. If it works, it works! Just because something is brand-new, doesn't make it good, either, and it's only through objective discussion that the realities can be explored analytically and realistically. Now, this is what I believe. There are probably other views. RE |
