#169752 - MANY thanks!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
this is the perfect answer for me, as selecting a micro has been bothering me a lot. indeed this is a one off project so optimising cost for volume is not an issue as you said.

I am well aware i must familiarise myself with the compilers special extensions of the language, infact I find this the frustrating, fun, and most reqarding bit. at A-level i spent quite a bit of my own free time playing with visualBasic (a very easy language i know) but I am a lot older now, and should find this a task to consume my time until christmas. Unfortunately I use a mac and will therefore have to run the software we have available to us under emulation, which I have heard can be rather buggy. but no matter.

again thanks to all who have lent me the wisdom of their knowledge
