It is indeed a petrol car, operated by a 500cc bike engine. Erm, what do you mean by this?

Make sure you Regulator is Automotive Grade. Auto electric systems are very harsh.

The system i am designing, only communicates with an ECU (supplied by KMS van kronenburg) so this is the only bit of interfacing with any automotive electronics as such. The supply is (hopefully) going to be via 24 AAA rechargeable batteries, or perhaps LiPo if we deem it to be safe enough. So this will have its own regulator to power the micro and the pneumatic actuator valves.
