Yes, it would make our lives easier - but it would be an extremely difficult thing to do!

That's because a simple text search like google would be useless here - it need to be a properly classified database, which someone would have to maintain manually by trying to collate all the information from all the datasheets from all the different chip vendors.
That would be an absolutely monumental task!
You can get some idea by just looking at the size of the list of 8051s in the Keil database; and that's just one architecture - there are scores of other architectures!

AFAIK, there is no standard, machine-readable format for conveying a processor's characteristics that could be used to automate this task - so, I presume, it has to be done by hand!

The nearest thing I know of to a complete list is the EDN annual processor directory - but that is just a listing, and doesn't do any kind of parametric search.
