It used to be that the Big Bang theory broke down because nobody could explain what happens when you got a singularity.new theories have arisen which suggest that you don't actually need a singularity at the Big Bang and its more like a big bounce, so the loss of cause and effect doesn't happen as it did in a singularity. All kinds of explanations as to how you can have random fluctuations in the vacuume energy at quantum levels can trigger Big Bang type events without there having to be some guy in a white beard. So given the two explanations I choose the one which can be verified scientifically, or at least has some chance of being verified |
