See maths is much more than just a language, Plato understood that much, it describes our universe so... does your god understand the maths? it is a simple question, yes or no will suffice . Thats an old school boy trick it just shows that maths as a language is open to the same misuse and any other, in much the same way that you can say 1+1=3 for large enough values of 1 what i am interested in is does maths describe the universe as it was as you believe, created or is it just a trick are we deluding ourselves to believe that we can ever understand something which is designed by an omnipotent being? which is again an idea which is meaningless from a human perspective. And does this omnipotent being himself understand how it all works, is your god a mathematician ? being omnipotent can your god set a maths problem which he cannot solve? If he can set a problem that he cannot solve then he is not omnipotent and if he cannot set a problem which he cannot solve then is he is not omnipotent. |
