#187239 - it happens Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It happened to me once, after writing a long post, everything was lost due to computer crash.
Terrible feeling. Another question, how do you set the 0 for Z-axis to touch the board. My friend taught me this trick by putting a paper on the board and lowering the Z axis slowly and keep moving the paper until it gets stuck, its better than nothing but I'm thinking of making electrical connection with the board and the bit so that the machine knows when it touched the board. I then zero the z Axis, then left it up 1mm then zero it again and reference the bit to the lower left bottom of the workpiece. I'm sure Mach3 has some options to auto reference, have to keep experimenting. My machine doesn't have limit switches, maybe I should add them manually. Mahmood |
