-a Hi Andy, Perhaps it's either because hobbyist groups who follow the AVR scene are probably larger than those follow the 8051, or that some (most?) hobbyists would not necessarily identify an 'eval' board as an alternative to the likes of Mbed or Arduino. Probably a little of both IMHO.. Maybe someone might make a silabs equivalent of the Arduino, though I do not see this happening (yet?). Anyway, I realise this is off-topic in relation to the thread, so I'll shut up now :-) Regards, Valentin |
