That's nothing specifically to do with ARM!
Apart from the antiques, there are few 8051s available in through-hole packages these days!

But a great many experimenters use ready-made boards anyhow - so the chip package is irrelevant.

Not easy to solder.

The 8 pins OK but what about more pins..it's horrible.I just facing FTDI with soldering iron station..huh very hard.
