how true and what you then do with your "equipment" is trying to "build something precise by using lousy components" for most 5% resistors tempco etc is not even specified. Erik PS: you never answered "are you confusing resolution and precision e.g. for your DMM. If you want to use your DMM to 'calibrate' (you said I have a Hioki DMM as a reference) I doubt it is more precise (for resistance) than 2% whatever the resolution may be> This, of course lead to another question: "If your DMM is good enough for a reference, why is it not good enough to measuer with" PPS: the blasted thing is that you are applying so many right things in the wrong fashion and trying to do something wrong (precision that is not precision (tempco)) the right way. |
