I don't really mind Keil being good or bad C compiler for the purposes of this discussion; otherwise I accept your points and will take them into account, would I get into a position to decide WHICH C-compiler to use for '51, rather than WHAT language to choose for '51. My point is, that ANY compiler may introduce its own bugs, as does the bare fact that C is a crappy language per se (please don't argument with lint, MISRA and similar, similar could be developed for asm with moderate effort). As usually, this is again just the choice of appropriate tools in a given context, whatever the latter means. JW |
