#135248 - Unbelieveable nonsence
Ive just had a phone call from the company that we are producing this aircraft databus tester for, we are talking a huge aircraft manufacturer and they got send a copy of some code for a look over before the formal review. They phoned me up and said that they didnt have anyone who could look at the code because nobody knows assembler in their engineering group could I send them the code in C ? I was horrified and I said to them 90% of the code that is running on board your aircraft is probably written in assembelr simply because of the speed requirement and you don't have anyone who understands it.
It seems that any spotty 14 year old can end up designing critical systems and he prolly doesnt even know what processor it uses.
