Well, maybe; but at the end of the day the equation turns around.

Assembler is a pathway in the woods - sure there are a lot of pitfalls, but once you take that way, you expect them.

C looks like a paved way, but you'll break your legs too easily.

Or, in other words:
Assembler promises nothing and holds that promise.
C promises you a lot... and that's all lies.
