#129913 - then do notstate "The 8255A is stronger and fast"
Responding to: ???'s previous message
And that is why I have to determine what a part actually does

then do not state "The 8255A is stronger and faster than reported." which, for other samples, will be blatantly false and may sucker some poor sod into designing to your 'findings'.

Had you stated "some 8255A may be stronger and faster than reported." that might be OK, but this is NOT a forum for chipmakers, where your post would be interpreted very differently, it is a forum for chip users and thus a post like yours is grossly misleading. There are enough cases of "design to knowledge" rather than "design to the data sheet" which all are "tested" and still WRONG, which, usually, will be revealed.
