However, I don't know any engineers who're pulling down 8, or even 7 figure salaries like they get in CA.


Huh? Are any real engineers pulling down 7 or 8 figures in CA??? Or only insiders that got in on the ground level of a company before it took off? If someone pays me 7 figures, I'll live in CA in a heartbeat, even with their expensive houses!

I know, I know ... most people don't want to live in a teensy little 3000 square foot house, but I've found my house quite adequate and it only offers about 2400 square feet of clutterable space.


You're joking, right? Or are you really suggesting that "most people" consider a 3000 sq. foot house "teensy?"
