I heard on the radio this morning that the average price in California (the state, must be higher in 'popular' locations) for a home is $550.000. I knew it was bad, but that bad?, the homeless shelters must be overflowing. Here in NC the average is $189.000. I have been wondering about the "fantasy' salaries offered in Silicon Valley, but in the tax bracket owning even a modest home would require, maybe that is not 'fantasy' but 'necessity'.
