There are bright and talented engineers all over the place but it seems that companies think that you have to be close to 'the action' to be able to find them, all that happens is that you create areas where the cost of living is emormously high and the places where they congregate arent all that nice.Ive just started a working with a company up in Saltaire in England which is up quite unfasionably northerly and cheap enough to be livable ,the company attracts fairly sane and talented people without all the hysterical bullshit that you find in other places I could mention.
