Yeah, but they were much better educated newbies :-) I've worked with engineers who got their education in the 50s (I graduated high school in 66), and they had a better education than what I got. I was impressed with the depth and extent of their knowledge. The educational system had started its decline back in the 60s and has gone downhill rapidly since then. Despite that, it's still possible to get a decent education if one is motivated and willing to work hard. |
