I actually read an article a while ago, about some parent that sued a school and teacher because little Johnny had gotten depressed after being caught cheating. That's a result of all the "self-esteem" crap that's been pushed in K-12 education for several decades. The solution is obvious--stop treating them like babies. Expect them to learn and be able to perform, and if they can't do it, tough! My experience is that younger people are not stupid, they're just not challenged. |
