The self-esteem programming thing that you mention is very real, but i have 3 children who teach me a lot and seem to understand and investigate world and national history in a way that i re-learn and learn a lot. They will pull their weight. Great! They are part of the reversal of the trend that is beginning. I see more of it all the time, but that's no guarantee that it will continue. Especially if the Creationists and other looneys force the schools to teach superstition. |
