#121652 - Miker, it sounds as if you need to buy a book by D
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Miker, it sounds as if you need to buy a book by Dr. Howard Johnson.

I do not know much about these things, but what i know id from his articles.

Anyhow, I have had a large 4 layer board (with PLENTY of decoupling caps) consisting of 12 CPLDs running at 60MHz BEFORE I even knew that there was such a thing as trace impedance. It was supposed to run at 100 MHz, but THAT it could not do. Well, eventually it was run a 48 MHz (safety factor) and that turned out to suffice.
