#121439 - Multiple layers is no joke Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The board is 14 layers as of right now, with 3 power-ground plane sandwiches, 2 more ground planes for stripline controlled impedance traces, and 6 total routing layers. The FPGA is seated in a through hole socket so connecting traces to it should not be too much of a problem. I do have another question though: In stripline routing, do the controlled impedance traces have to be situated in between two ground planes, or can power planes be used instead? If so, I could eliminate two layers. |
