#121361 - Frankly, I've no idea Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I've no idea how the "cold fusion" was supposed to work, nor have I seen any of the supporting math. So far, it's fallen into the same category as pepetual motion, methinks.
However, I did find it interesting that, within a week after the Pons-Fleishman announcement, dozens of petro-industry supported colleges stated that it didn't work, while a number of less-supported (by the petro industry) instututions throughout the world had mixed results. If it doesn't work, it should be no surprise to find that well-funded institutions find that it doesn't work. But all of them? They do have the best of everything material that money can buy. However, the fact that there was a mix among the non-petro-funded lab's suggests that something else was at work too, like maybe they knew the result they wanted, in those institutions which got lots of petro-dollars on a regular basis.
