#119384 - Wiki accuracy Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If Wiki were implemented, I would think the only way to do it would be the following:
1. Entries could be submitted by anyone, but would not be visible to the public until approved by someone (maybe either me, Steve, or a group of "Wiki editors"). 2. Entries could only be edited by "Wiki editors". Thus if there was an error, it could be promptly fixed and wouldn't be susceptible to intentional or unintentional corruption after the fact. 3. If two or more Wiki editors start having a battle over the "right" answer, I'd probably have to take sides (or do my best to present both sides) and lock that entry. Given that it would only be editable by authorized Wiki editors, I'm not sure what that gains us. Just submit the material as a FAQ and if there are ever corrections or additions, email me and I'll update it accordingly. It's not like most of the FAQ entires are going to change on a regular basis. Most of them, once written and correct, will probably not have to changed for years, if ever.
