It's a defect - let them figure it out.
If I do that, I have no means of verifying that the boards I get in the future from same or other contract manufacturer may not have "mechanical only" contact. If I find the reason, I can keep an eye on the possibility. This particular contractors response in the past has been "send them back, we will fix them" and that is all good and fine, but I DO NOT GIVE A HOOT about boards that do not work, they can be fixed, I am concerned about "timebombs" in this and future batches. The result from actual knowledge not "fixed by contractor" can be that I must blacklist that particular contract manufacturer. Erik |
